Our Story
For 70 years - always with you...wherever you go
Soletti Salzstangerl are produced in Feldbach, in the Styrian Volcanic Region since 1949. Originally, the bakery Zach sold amongst others pretzels, which afforded a considerable amount of time due to manual shaping. Since the family was always eager to produce in the most efficient way, the idea was born to simply bake the "noodles" necessary for shaping the pretzels in a straight form: The pretzel stick was born!
Nowadays, a broad range of different Soletti products is produced in Feldbach. The star of the range is for sure our world-famous Soletti Salzstangerl. Naturally made from 100% Austrian flour and 100% rock salt from the Austrian Alps and – of course – 100% free of palm-oil.

Founding of the First Austrian Steam Bakery by the brothers Josef and Ludwig Zach
1922
FELDBACHER ZUCKERZWIEBACK (sweet rusk) is produced for the first time.
1933
Launch of BABYBREZEL
1935
The FELDBACHER ZWIEBACK rusk brand is born.
1949
Launch of our savory snacks product line, a global brand was born: S O L E T T I
1960
NEW: KÄSESOLETTI
1973
FELDBACHER BACKWARENFABRIK DR. ZACH GMBH comes into being.
1976
EXTRUDED SNACKS are incorporated.
1983
Launch of the KORNLAND brand
1985
Sale of General Mills Ltd. stakes to KELLY Ges.m.b.H. – ZACH becomes a wholly owned KELLY subsidiary. Relocation of extruder production to Vienna.

Installation of our GRANOLA BAR EQUIPMENT – NEW: BEER PRETZELS

Kelly becomes part of Intersnack Group.
